Neophyte Photography at 8:02 PMI missed camwhoring!! Had been very busy studying D90, no chance to cam-whore until yesterday! I'm just a neophyte in photography, please don't expect any stunning, breath taking pic yet, and consider the fact that Singapore got nothing much but lots of buildings and little ants like us. Anyway, I will work my way out. Now, I shall speak no more, some of my work(majority cam-whore) ranked according to my liking: #05 Not enough room space to move the camera away from me, that explained all the big head pic. This pic suppose to show off the bare shoulder. Now it is meaningless. I JUST LOVE MY NEW CAMERA! Bye Friday, May 7, 2010
Guide To Bargain Expensive DSLR at 10:01 PMPost my bargaining skills here so that you guys can use it as reference. Actually, not really bargain if you read them. =) I bought my D90 at Harvey Norman-Suntec @$1588. Freebies: 8GB SD Card, Bag, Tripod, Cleaning Kit, Spare Battery. Before deciding to purchase at Harvey Norman-Suntec, I made about 5 calls to different D90 retailers which include, MS Color, Parisilk, CathayPhoto, HN-Suntec & HN-CenterPoint. MS Color Price: $1680 Freebies: 8GB SD Card, Bag, Tripod and Spare Battery Parisilk Price: $1658 Freebies: 8GB SD Card Cathay Photo Price: $1560 Freebies: 8GB SD Card Harvey Norman (Suntec) *First Attempt* Price: $1688 Freebies: 8GB SD Card, Bag, Tripod, Cleaning Kit and Spare Battery Harvey Norman (CenterPoint) Price: $1588 Freebies: 8GB SD Card, Bag, Tripod Naturally, I thought HN's pricing and package should be consistent regardless of the outlets. I called HN-CenterPoint after I called HN-Suntec because I thought why not head to a nearer outlet. In case you wonder, the call was to confirm if they got D90 on stock. But only to find out the different package. So, I questioned the sales lady from HN-CenterPoint, why their freebies short of cleaning kit and spare battery while HN-Suntec have it. (I totally pretended that the price was the same =X I didn't do it on purpose, I just haven't say it!) In response, she asked if their (Suntec) spare battery was a third party battery or the original from Nikon? Seriously, I don't know. That's what I told her. Then she continued and offered that she could give me a third party spare battery and cleaning kit at $1588. =D Succeeded! I think I'm kinda greedy. That's bad. I called HN-Suntec again and prayed that it's not a third party battery and also telling them that HN-CenterPoint offered me the same package at $1588 (Suntec was $1688). Which actually the package was after sorta bargaining. Luckily enough, I spoke to a senior sale person, I presumed. He was cool and agreed to $1588. And anyway, its a third party battery in their package too. As usual, being flicker-minded, I decided to buy from Suntec la. Lolx. Actually, I don't know if a Nikon battery will work better on a Nikon camera or will there be any differences at all?? Bye |
